Ajai K. Nemani, MD
Dr. Nemani is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He received his medical degree from S.U.N.Y at Buffalo School of Medicine and completed his residency training at University of Miami. He completed his fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Rochester. His interests include back pain and cancer pain. Dr. Nemani has been selected as one of the best doctors in America and Who's Who for doctors in America numerous times. He has trained numerous physicians on the specialized interventional procedures he routinely performs.

Since 1993, Dr. Nemani has dedicated himself to providing the most advanced medical treatment available to his patients with pain. He co-founded Pain and Symptom Management Center at Rochester General Hospital in 1993 and is well known in the Rochester community. He performed the first ever Spinal Cord Stimulator, intrathecal Morphine Pump, and the first ever Percutaneous Diskectomy procedure at Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Nemani's decision to devote 100% of his time to pain management further strengthened his commitment to providing the most up-to-date, comprehensive and compassionate care for his pain patients.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Ng completed his Anesthesia Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester.  He then went on to complete his pain fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) in 2005.  He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Board Certified in Pain Management.  Returning back to Rochester, he has worked throughout Upstate NY.  

Specializing in interventional procedures in pain management, he has been focusing on neuropathic pain and post surgical pain syndrome, with a concentration on use of spinal cord stimulation (SCS).  Dr. Ng performed the first Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulator as well as HF-10 stimulator in Rochester, NY.    

He is married and has three children.  He enjoys watching this children play softball, baseball and basketball. 

 

 

 


Anthony J. Inzana, RPA-C
Anthony Inzana is a Certified Physician Assistant. He completed his degree from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook in the physician assistant program in 1995 after working as a Radiology Technologist. He has spent many years in Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery specializing in spine related disorders and back pain. He has assisted on thousands of spine surgeries of all types over that period of time.

Mr. Inzana brings his extensive experience in spine and orthopedic care to the practice of Pain Management. His knowledge of both operative and non-operative management and minimally invasive techniques makes him uniquely qualified in this field. He performs thorough consultations and interprets diagnostic imaging and pertinent tests to come up with the appropriate assessment and treatment plan in association with Dr. Nemani. His interests include arthritis and joint pain as well as spine related disorders.

Elizabeth Renner is a Certified Physician Assistant.

 

Sarah Lokken, NP
Sarah Lokken is a Certified Physician Assistant. Sarah Lokken joined Pain Interventions in 2015. She earned her RN degree from Genesee Community College and went on to earn her Masters degree in Nursing from the University of Rochester with a subspecialty in Acute Critical Care. Sarah has a vast level of experience and knowledge over her 17+ year career. This ranges from Critical Care, Intraoperative Care, Neurosurgery and Pain Management. She had worked with Dr. Roger Ng for the past 11+ years in the area of Interventional Pain Management. She cares for patients with chronic pain. Sarah helps coordinate the Spinal Cord Stimulation Clinic and had a special interest in improving patients over all functional quality of life through a multi disciplinary approach. 

When not working, Sarah also enjoys spending time coaching youth soccer, crafting, and planning for the next adventure with her children and Labrador Retriever named Charlie.
